Recently, Nvidia made the mark in February by introducing RTX Video Super Resolution (RVSR) technology, which was developed to increase the resolution of browser-based videos. Now on the last day of February, the driver update (531.18 GeForce Game Ready) that activates RVSR has finally been released.

Nvidia RTX Video Super Resolution opened to users

As of now, RVSR has been added to the Video > Edit video display settings > RTX video enhancement section of the Nvidia drivers. At this point, RVSR has four different quality settings from 1-4 for supported browsers like Chrome or Edge. However, it should be noted that especially the last quality setting requires more GPU resources.

RTX Video Super Resolution supports video resolutions between 360p and 1440p and up to 144Hz refresh rate. Thus, the technology, which takes advantage of the Tensor cores that we encounter in RTX cards, provides a noticeable increase in the image quality of old and blurry videos.
Nvidia said that RTX Video Super Resolution, which is currently available for RTX 30 and RTX 40 series graphics cards, will also support the GeForce RTX 20 series in the future. However, he did not share any date for this and stated that the technology needs to be restructured. Therefore, we can say that users will wait for a while.
