Skoda Octavia, which makes up 40 percent of the production line, is one of the most preferred among C segment cars. Competing with models such as the Audi A3, Hyundai Elentra, Renault Megane Sedan and Toyota Corolla, Octavia will be reborn.

Making a statement on the subject, Skoda CEO Klaus Zellmer said, “Combustion engine vehicles will be banned in the European market by 2035. We accelerated our work for the Octavia, the model with the highest sales figure of our company. By 2030, we plan to generate 70 percent of our revenue from electric vehicles.” made statements.

Zellmer stated that they will continue to produce internal combustion versions in order to appeal to a wider audience. The company announced that the electric version will be launched before 2026.

After the electric Octavia, Skoda will also introduce seven-seat electric SUV and electric crossover models. However, the new mini SUV model, which is still in the design phase, will replace the Skoda Fabia.

Companies operating within the Volkswagen Group use the MEB architecture in the electric vehicles they develop. Analysts predict that the new Octavia will be one of the first models to use the Volkswagen SSP architecture. Volkswagen will launch the SSP architecture in 2025.

The electric Octavia will have an average range of 600 km. An 89kW battery will be used in the model, which is stated to offer fast charging support up to 200kW.

It is estimated that two engines will be used in the standard model and four engines in the vRS variant. It is thought that the company will make significant changes in the design of the electric model.
