Cost of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scares manufacturers

Qualcomm is expected to launch its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship processor in late 2023. Naturally, many manufacturers want to use this processor in their new generation flagship phones. However, Qualcomm’s new processor may be a bit expensive for some brands and models.

According to the latest reports, the price of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be a little more expensive than usual. That’s why some manufacturers are planning to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or a Dimensity chipset in their smartphones instead of Qualcomm’s latest processor model.

We can see Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which scares manufacturers a little with its high price, only in high-end smartphones of brands that buy jewelry such as Pro or Ultra. The standard flagship phones of the brands will probably host Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or MediaTek Dimensity processors.
