The understanding of technology and design in the eastern countries is a little different from the western ones. For example, while users in western countries care about design, durability may be more important for users in the east. In this context, Samsung is also releasing the A23 5G, which it launched this year, exclusively for Japan. This is completely different from what we know!
Why is Galaxy A23 5G being redone?
When we look at Japanese phone manufacturers, we see that durability is given importance in general. For example, Sony, which has been on the agenda for years with the claim of water resistance in its phones, is an example. This strategy followed is all about the usage habits of the people in the country. Here is where the new Samsung Galaxy A23 5G stands out is its IP68 certification. So Samsung is making this move in response to demand.
The technical features of the device, which looks very different from the original A23 5G in terms of design, have also been completely changed. For example, when we look at the screen, we see that the size has been reduced to 5.8 inches.
Technical specifications of Galaxy A23 5G:
When we look at the front surface, a 5.8 inch TFT LCD screen with HD + resolution welcomes us. There is a 5MP resolution front camera on the screen with a waterdrop notch. There is a 50MP resolution camera sensor on the back of the device, no other sensor is included. On the side, we see the fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button.
Galaxy A23 5G, or SCG18 in other words, is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor in the performance part. In addition, the device, which comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, supports SD card. The device, which comes out of the box with Android 12, runs on One UI 4.1. On the battery side, there is a 4000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. In addition, the device, which has a headphone jack, also includes NFC technology. In addition, users are offered three different color options: red, black and white.
The SCG18, which differs from the original Galaxy A23 5G in many respects, is only a Japanese model for now. However, it may be sold in our country under a different name in the future. We will see the A23 5G on the shelves with a price tag of 32,800 JPY, or 231 dollars.
