BYD has left an important step in solid state battery technology. Sun Huajun, the CTO of the company’s lithium battery section, announced that this year will be released from the pilot production line of 60AH. This is very important for the new generation batteries, which are expected to revolutionize in the electric vehicle sector.

BYD has set an ambitious road map in the process of transition to commercial use of solid state batteries. The company aims to start the integration of solid state batteries into vehicles around 2027. After 2030, this technology is expected to become widespread on a large scale.

With the increase in the production scale of Sun huajun, the cost of solid state batteries will come to the same level as the fluid state batteries used today. BYD also focused on sulfur-based solid state batteries in R & D studies.

After TSMC, it’s time for Broadcom: took action for Intel

Broadcom is engaged in interviews to get Intel’s chip design unit, while TSMC is also on the circuit for production facilities.

The company sees 2027-2029 as a trial period in the middle and upper segment electric vehicles of sulfur solid state batteries. Between the years 2030-2032, these batteries are widespread and are planned to be used in the mainstream.

BYD emphasizes that it will take time to develop solid state batteries. However, the LFP batteries will continue to exist in the electric vehicle market for the next 15-20 years due to the cost advantage and controlability of batteries.

Solid state batteries will be used mostly in high -level models; LFP will give power to vehicles in different segments with batteries.
