One of the greatest conveniences that the developing technology has added to our lives: internet shopping. We can order products sold on thousands of e-commerce platforms to our home address with a single click using a card. However, online shopping is not only easy but also brings with it many risks.

The case of “something else came instead of the product he ordered”, which is frequently seen in our country, happened abroad this time. A citizen named Daniel Carroll living in the UK ordered the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which Apple sold for £ 1,049 in the country, over the internet. However, instead of the smartphone he bought, materials that were not worth the money he paid came out of the box.

Toilet paper came instead of iPhone 13 Pro Max

Daniel Carroll talked about his unfortunate event on social media. After ordering the phone, he said the delivery was two weeks late. Deciding to go after the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which he eventually bought for £1,049, Carroll went to the DHL Warehouse delivery warehouse in West Yorkshire, England.

Chocolate and toilet paper came instead of iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Daniel Carroll, who received the cargo from the warehouse, was disappointed when he opened the box. While waiting for the iPhone 13 Pro Max with great excitement, two milk chocolates and used toilet paper came out of the box. Stating that he ordered the phone on Apple’s website on December 2 and that the earliest delivery day was December 17, Carroll stated that the delivery was constantly disrupted.

Daniel Carroll stated that the package was delayed many times by the shipping company DHL. Finally, the unfortunate man, who chose the option of picking up from the warehouse, shared his experiences after receiving the product as follows:

When I got home I could tell the box had been tampered with as the tape was pretty loose. However, I opened the box as I could feel some weight. Inside was cheap industrial toilet paper that smelled bad, and two Dairy Milk Oreo.

Stating that he tried to contact DHL during this time, Carroll added that he could not get a response to his calls or messages. He also stated that he has nothing but automatic shipment tracking updates. On the other hand, the spokesperson of the cargo company announced that they are investigating the incident and communicating with the sender. The fate of Daniel Carroll’s phone is unknown.
