Wanting to appeal to more users in the tablet market, Apple has accelerated its work for the new iPad Air model. Shipment of the screen panels of the new 12.9 inch iPad Air model, some of whose technical features have been revealed, has started. Here are the details…
12.9 inch iPad Air features become clear
Shipments of display panels for the rumored new 12.9-inch iPad Air have begun, according to Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) CEO Ross Young. Sharing on X (Twitter) today, Young said, “12.9 inch iPad Air panel shipments started in December…”
Mark Gurman reiterated his previous report that Apple plans to introduce new iPad Air models and iPad Pro models around March. Gurman predicts 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models, as well as 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Air models.
In other words, it is among the leaked information that the iPad Air model will be a notable improvement compared to the standard iPad. The new iPad Air will have two different screen options and an M2 processor.
The M2 processor has a 3.49GHz performance core. M2, whose single-core performance is approximately 11.5 percent faster than the M1, is 19.4 percent better than the M1 processor in multi-core performance.
Apple M2 is 18 percent faster than M1 in processor performance. We should point out that the processor, which has 35 percent better performance than the M1 in graphics performance, also leaves Intel Alder Lake desktop processors behind.
The new iPad Air will appear with better performance and screen features than its predecessor. However, the features that distinguish the new iPad Pro models from the new iPad Airs will be a slightly larger screen size, OLED screen and M3 processor.
