In the statement made by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA); Tesla announced that it has decided to recall another 26,681 vehicles due to the defrosting problem on the windshield caused by a software error.

Let’s point out that the software error in question caused a valve in the heat pump in the vehicles to open unintentionally and the cooler remained in the evaporator and caused the windshield defrosting problem. As a result, the visibility of the windshield is reduced and the risk of an accident is greatly increased.

Tesla announced that it will also release an over-the-air (OTA) update in order to solve this problem as quickly as possible for the 26 thousand 681 vehicles it recalled.
