Countdown begins for Vivo V29
The GCF certification confirms that the Vivo smartphone with model number V2250, which has been in leaks for a while, will be released as the “Vivo V29”. On the other hand, interestingly, we see that the device does not contain “5G” in its name. However, the GCF listing states that the device will support 5G bands such as n1, n2, n3, n5, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77 and n78.
Vivo V29 features
Just before the GCF, Vivo V29 was also spotted on other certification platforms such as IMDA (Singapore), EEC (Europe), SDPPI (Indonesia) and Bluetooth SIG. It was also recently featured in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Based on this information, Vivo V29 will have a 6.7-inch OLED display on the front offering FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh.
At the heart of the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus platform paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It should be noted that this processor will be an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 778G, which will be showcased in 2021.
Vivo V29 will come out of the box with Android 13 supported FunTouchOS 13 interface. Other features of the device include a 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, a primary sensor with 5G and 64MP OIS. The auxiliary sensors of the device have not yet been clarified. The Vivo V29 is expected to debut in the coming weeks.
