A new date for FSR 3.0 has emerged
For those who don’t know, FSR 3.0 will offer support for a wide range of hardware-independent GPUs, similar to FSR 1 and 2.0. At this point, AMD says that the targeted gaming experience will be much more fluid and will offer 2 times more performance. Also focusing on latency, the red team will make the transition from FSR2 to FSR3 as easy as possible.
On the other hand, it is reported that FSR 3.0 will be integrated with AMD drivers for a while and will offer Frame Creation support. If that happens, it’s fair to say that the technology won’t support Intel/NVIDIA hardware.
Today, reliable leakster Moore’s Law is Dead (MLID) reported that FSR 3.0 will be available with AMD’s upcoming RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT graphics cards. At this point, it should be noted that the end of August and even Gamescom 2023 (23-27 August) are pointed out for both graphics cards. However, no official statement has been shared by AMD yet.
If this leak is confirmed, we can say that FSR 3.0 will give a significant boost to mid-range AMD graphics cards. We’ve seen a similar move on RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti GPUs with DLSS 3.0 support. However, we will have to wait for a while for all the details.
