Apple, which has been revived with the sales of the iPhone 13 series, cannot keep up with the orders. In fact, the company has to postpone the shipment dates of new orders by a month. As every year, the company, which has won the appreciation of users with new iPhones this year, let’s take a closer look at how much it has spent on the R&D and hardware of the iPhone 13 Pro.
TechInsights, which opened for the iPhone 13 Pro with 256 GB storage capacity, revealed important information about the new iPhone model. According to the information made by the team, the Pro model of the series is more costly than the previous generation.

Stating that the GPU in the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro looks the same except for the number of cores, the team states that the entry model has a four-core GPU and the Pro model has a five-core GPU. Additionally, according to the team, this is similar to the seven-core GPU approach on affordable M1 Macs and 8-core GPUs on expensive models. In addition, the Pro model of the series comes with 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM.
Along with the dismantled iPhone, it was also found that the 13 model had a 1.7 micrometer wide camera. Thus, it has been confirmed that lenses larger than the 1.4 micrometer lenses on the iPhone 12 are used. It is also stated that the Pro model has 1.9 micrometer cameras compared to the 1.4 micrometer camera in the previous model.
Defying its competitors with its own processors, Apple uses its own chips, including A15, Audio Codec and Audio Amplifiers, in the new iPhone series. It is stated that the Cupertinolu technology company supplies its other components from suppliers such as Qualcomm, KIOXIA, NXP, STMicroelectronics, USI, Qorvo and Broadcom.
In the light of all this information, it is claimed that the cost of the materials and components of the iPhone 13 Pro is $ 570. Thus, it is stated that the new model, which costs more than the iPhone 12 Pro, is sold for 1.9 times the production cost.
