Qualcomm recently introduced the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, an enhanced version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. After this processor, which hosts significant improvements in performance, there were rumors about Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which will be the next flagship of the company. Now, more details about the new processor have emerged.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will power flagship smartphones in 2023. According to the information shared on China’s social media network, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is being developed as a result of the 4nm fabrication process. It is claimed that the new processor, whose core structure will be changed according to the predecessor model, will use the 1+2+2+3 core sequence.
Accordingly, the core structure of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will be as follows: 1 ARM Cortex-X3, 2 ARM Cortex-A720, 2 Cortex-A710 and 3 Cortex-A510.
Of course, this information has not been confirmed by Qualcomm for now. However, we will probably not encounter a different scenario when the new processor is introduced. In the meantime, there are also leaks that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will first step into the market with the Galaxy S23 series. We’ll wait and see.
