iPhone SE 4 screen is entrusted to BOE
According to the reports, Apple will supply the OLED screens of the iPhone SE 4 from the Chinese manufacturer BOE. BOE has already undertaken the production of some of the screens of the iPhone 14 series, but it is not expected to be found in this year’s iPhone 15 series due to the company’s problems in production. Therefore, most of the screens of the iPhone 15 series will be produced by Samsung and LG.
In this context, BOE wants to compensate for the glitches by focusing on the production of OLED panels for the low-cost iPhone SE 4. It is estimated that the volume of OLED panels to be produced for the iPhone SE 4 will be around 20 million next year. The screen on the device is expected to be 6.1 inches. Probably, Apple will use the OLED panels that it used in the iPhone 13 or iPhone 14, optimizing it in the iPhone SE 4. On the other hand, the device is expected to be the first iPhone to use Apple’s self-developed 5nm 5G chip. It is said that this will further reduce costs.
