Instagram, the world’s most popular online photo and short video sharing platform, has started testing a new feature. This new feature will please users who frequently share stories on Instagram. Because with Instagram’s new feature, you will be able to choose who watches your stories as you wish.
Instagram has offered 2 options for story sharing so far. These options were either all followers (everyone if the account is open) or “close friends” of the stories. You could show your story to certain users with the close friends list you created. In fact, when you shared a story that your close friends could see, the user would see it with a badge. This situation will change soon. The user will be able to create multiple friend lists.
This is what Instagram’s new feature will look like:
When the feature, which is still in the testing phase, reaches all users, there will be a “Create a list” option on the story sharing page. By touching this option, the user will create lists to which he/she will add the followers he/she wants and give a name to them. After creating these lists, you will be able to choose a list you want when sharing stories on Instagram. Users added to lists will continue to see the green badge. Users will be able to share stories for multiple lists at the same time.
Making a statement about the new feature, Instagram boss Adam Mosseri said that the feature in the testing phase will improve the story sharing experience on Instagram. Mosseri did not make an assessment of when the new feature would be available. Meanwhile; On the support page created for story lists, Instagram said that this feature is currently available in certain regions.
