Cheapest car sold in Turkey: Citroen Ami One Concept
Citroen, one of the world’s largest automobile manufacturers, brought its electric vehicle designed for urban transportation to Turkey. Offered as an alternative 4-wheel solution to motorcycles, the 5.5 kWh Citroen Ami has a top speed of 50 kilometers and a range of 70 kilometers. However, the most striking aspect of the vehicle is its price, not its features.
Citroen Ami, which is almost a four-wheeled motorcycle with its design, is sold for 6 thousand Euros in Europe. The images of the first party Ami to come to Turkey were shared on social media. While it was seen that the license plate registrations of the vehicles were made, it was claimed that these vehicles would be used in a special project in the first place. A limited number of electric Amis will most likely serve in the car-sharing model.
Another striking aspect of the issue was the driver’s license. In France, it is enough to be 14 years old to drive a vehicle that does not require a class B license. In other European countries, this age rises to 16. It is not clear at the moment whether a driver’s license is required for use in Turkey.
