The Calgary police force expressed its views on the issue, referring to crypto crimes and crypto-related steps;

“The creation and implementation of the Western Canada Cryptocurrency Investigation Center will strengthen our ability to ensure public safety for citizens, enable proactive policing, develop technical investigative skills, and provide specialist training resources for law enforcement.”

Touching on crypto crimes, which have gained momentum in recent weeks, the police department continued its statements by targeting this issue;

“Cybercrime can make it difficult for law enforcement to fully investigate due to a variety of complex factors, particularly cryptocurrency scams, diverse international locations and jurisdictions, advanced criminal techniques, and rapidly evolving technology.”
