The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 (or just the Galaxy Fold 4) is getting closer and closer. As far as we know, the new phone will be released in August. A new leak claims that the rear camera of the foldable flagship phone will receive a serious upgrade.
Known for its leaks, Ice Universe claims that the phone will come with a triple-lens, 50MP + 12MP + 12MP rear camera setup and will have ultra-wide and telephoto zoom capabilities. The same source says that the 12MP resolution 3x zoom camera will be the most powerful camera Samsung has ever used.
In other words, it will surpass the 10MP 3x zoom found on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra launched earlier this year. However, it should not be forgotten that the S22 Ultra also has a 10x zoom camera.
To date, there has been much speculation about how Samsung might improve the rear camera module of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which consists of a 12MP wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 12MP telephoto 2x optical zoom camera. Some leaks have pointed out that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will come with the same 10MP 3x zoom camera that you can find in the S22 series. According to other leaks, this new phone will have S Pen support, but will not have a special slot to put it on (the Galaxy Z Fold 3 didn’t have it either). Meanwhile, the cover screen will be slightly smaller, 6.19 inches.
