The box of the Intel Raptor Lake processor has appeared!

Raptor Lake box brought some controversy

Images of the box of Intel’s Core i9-13900K processor have leaked. The resulting photo reveals that the 13900K follows the same theme as the 12900K in terms of box design. However, on the box, the difference of the flagship processor is revealed with certain small details.

The Core i9-13900K’s box was shared on Twitter by a Twitter user named HXL. Although the authenticity of this shared image has not been confirmed yet, it looks quite realistic with its similarity to the 12900K and separation from it in details.

As can be seen from the images, the new generation processor differs from its predecessor in some points. While Intel presents its new processor in a similar box with silicon protector, this time it seems to prefer silver details instead of gold. Why Intel prefers silver in the new generation instead of gold can start a debate. Interpreting the color choice as a throwback to the previous generation could hurt the company’s sales.

In addition, the box of the new generation processor, whose images were leaked on Twitter, draws attention with its much thinner structure than the boxes of the current Alder Lake processor. We see that the expression that indicates the generation of the processor is taken from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (12th Gen – 13th Gen). Other than these details, the two boxes are pretty similar.
