Last Thursday, USA – A box of human heads was reported stolen from a medical supply truck in Denver, prompting a request for information from local police.
The Denver Post reported that the truck was carrying human body remains for medical research and was parked along 23rd Street when one or more thieves entered the vehicle. They received a 50.8 x 38.1 x 45.72 cm box labeled “Exempt Human Specimen”. The remains inside — several human heads — were being sent to body donation authority Science Care, where they would be used for medical research or science education, police told AP.
Police urged anyone with information about the theft of human heads to contact them.
Although unconventional, spooky body part thefts (and misplacement) do happen from time to time. In 2018, a bag containing 54 severed human hands was found on a riverbank in southeastern Russia. As the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation said, these hands turned out to belong to a forensic laboratory.
