The winners of the 2023 Global Mobile Awards (Global Mobile Awards, GLOMO) have been announced. The mobile device category witnessed fierce competition from the big players in the smartphone industry. So, which model was the winner of the Best Smartphone award (best smartphone of 2023)? Best Smartphone award went to iPhone 14 Pro
Models such as iPhone 14, Google Pixel 7 Pro, Nothing Phone (1), Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 competed for the Best Smartphone award. However, the winner of the Best Smartphone award and naturally the best smartphone of 2023 was the iPhone 14 Pro.
According to GLOMO, the award is; determined by independent analysts, journalists and influencers by evaluating smartphones in the market for the period January 2022 – December 2022. In addition, the award was given for outstanding performance, innovation and leadership.
The iPhone 14 Pro features an OLED display, A18 Bionic chipset and triple camera setup. It also includes innovative features such as Emergency SOS via satellite for users to communicate in emergencies.
In addition to winning the Best Smartphone award, Apple was awarded the Disruptive Device Innovation award for its Emergency SOS feature via satellite. The technology demonstrated the potential of satellite communications in emergencies.
