The Golden Steering Wheel awards, one of the most important awards for the automotive industry in Europe, found their recipients for the 45th time this year. At The Golden Steering Wheel 2021 ceremony, 12 awards were distributed in 12 different categories in total. The most prominent automobile brand this year in the awards was Cupra.
The selection of the winning models was carried out by the readers, jury and editors of AUTO BILD and BILD am SONNTAG magazine. Readers first chose three different car models for each category. These three models were examined in detail, including test drives, by the editors and a 14-member jury. Finally, the winners were announced. The best car under 35 thousand euros: Toyota GR Yaris
Best innovation: Schaeffler electric axle
