Twitter, which has not been on the agenda recently, especially with its tweet editing feature, has started working on a different update. Facebook’s famous status feature may be coming to Twitter. However, Twitter users have already started to discuss the feature.
The popular social media platform has started testing a status update innovation that has actually been in the internet world for years. Codenamed “Vibe”, this feature will allow you to share how you’re feeling on Twitter.
Share how you feel with the Twitter status update
A new leak reveals that Facebook’s famous status feature is coming to Twitter as well. The “Set status” feature will allow you to share information about your daily activities along with a post or possibly as a standalone post.
The new Twitter Vibe feature, spotted by developer Jane Manchun Wong, is now offering users provides the opportunity to adjust the situation. According to the screenshot shared by Wong, there will be a “Set status” box above the tweet creation section.
In the drop-down list of the “Set status” box, at least for now, there are five preset expressions. However, these include highly outdated status phrases such as “grocery shopping” and “highway driving”.
A screenshot shared by Wong only revealed preset phrases such as eating, listening to music, and shopping. It remains unclear whether users have the option to write a status update or whether third-party apps can connect (for example, Spotify for music).
Twitter has tested several features that were not liked by users in the past. Some features, like Fleets, which are similar to Instagram Stories, have been shelved without longevity. It should be noted that the status feature for Twitter is still in the testing phase.
