Apple announced the first virtual reality glasses Apple Vision Pro last week, but did not give participants the opportunity to experience the product, except for the developers and a few technology editors. The Wall Street Journal editor, who had the chance to test Apple Vision Pro, explained his experiences with Vision Pro in a YouTube video.

Like a giant Apple Watch stuck on the head

Wall Street Journal editor Joanna Stern began her experience with the Apple Vision Pro by saying it’s the best AR/VR helmet ever. Stating that the Vision Pro can be attached to the head very easily, Stern says that the helmet can be adjusted according to the head via a button. Saying that Apple Vision Pro is much more comfortable than Meta Quest Pro and Quest 2, the experienced editor states that wearing the helmet generally feels like a giant Apple Watch is attached to his head, but the overall experience is quite positive.

When it comes to the battery module of this Vision Pro, Stern says that the battery is light, and that it easily fits in his back pocket. Noting that the overall experience was quite exciting, Stern said, “Apple is really focusing on blending the digital world with the real world. It’s really the next big thing.” he states.

It leaves scars on the face and can cause nausea

Stern, who has experienced the product for about 30 minutes, says that when he removes the Vision Pro, redness occurs on his forehead and nose. Thinking that this is due to the headband not being fully compatible with face and head sizes, the Wall Street Journal editor does not think that users will encounter such a problem as there will be more size options when the product is released.

Stern also states that during the 30-minute demo, he experienced mild nausea during AR and VR transitions, and he felt the weight of the helmet on his nose and forehead.
