Apple unveiled its first mixed reality glasses, called Vision Pro, last night. The revolutionary device will cost users a small fortune. It has been announced that the Vision Pro will be available in the United States in early 2024 at a price of $3,499.
This figure will become a little more expensive for those who use glasses in daily life. Because it is not possible to use Vision Pro with glasses due to the way it fits on the face. However, the technology giant of Cupertino has not neglected to offer a solution for those who need numbered lenses.
Available on prescription
Apple will collaborate with Zeiss to offer lenses that are customizable to one’s vision. These numbered glasses will be magnetically attached to Vision Pro’s lenses with a magnet system. Eyeglass wearers will be able to order these additional optical components, which will be sold separately, against a prescription only.
As we mentioned earlier, Apple has confirmed that the optical attachments will be sold separately. This means that prescription glasses wearers will face an extra cost when purchasing Vision Pro. The price is not certain, but be prepared to pay at least $100 extra.
