The Tether official stated that Bitcoin adoption in Lugano, Switzerland, is going well.
Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino spoke about the city’s adoption of Bitcoin at the opening of the Plan B Forum, which he attended with Lugano Mayor Michele Foletti.
Tether Official Says Things Are Going Well
Ardonio, who attended the Plan B Forum launch, said that the city is doing pretty well in adopting Bitcoin.
The Tether official had previously teamed up with Foletti to bring the use of Bitcoin to the city.
After seven months, Ardoino emphasized that 40 businesses in the city accept payments with crypto. Although this is not a big deal, it is quite important for “scientific” adoption.
According to Ardoino, although it is important for an official to say that he is pro-Bitcoin, he emphasized that it is much more important to come up with a plan regarding this.
Ardoino thinks it’s more important for early adopters to keep things running smoothly than quickly reaching widespread adoption. In the first quarter of 2023, 1000 Lugano businesses are expected to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment.
