Tesla, one of the leading brands in electric cars, also stands out with the technologies it uses in its vehicles. Tesla offers a semi-autonomous driver assistant system called AutoPilot in all of its cars. The US manufacturer, on the other hand, offers its customers the fully autonomous FSD (Full Self-Driving) system.
Tesla’s fully autonomous driving system is getting safer
Tesla’s FSD fully autonomous driving system can be purchased for $15,000. The electric car maker also offers a monthly subscription fee of $199 for this advanced autonomous system. Tesla states that with the subscription fee, the tem autonomous system is constantly up to date and has gained new features.
The CEO of the company, Elon Musk, announced on Twitter that the final version of the FSD system has begun to be offered. While the successful businessman shared the fully autonomous driving system update, he underlined that drivers should be very careful, especially when pedestrians are around.
With the new FSD Beta 10.69.2, important updates are waiting for Tesla owners. With the new features, Tesla’s autonomous driving system will be able to more clearly calculate the number of lanes and connection points on the roads.
In addition, with the updated FSD system, the driving is more fluid. Thanks to the updates, all kinds of steering, braking and acceleration delays are minimized. Thus, a much clearer driving is aimed.
Another update is for ‘unprotected left turns’. This maneuver, which is described as the most difficult turn for autonomous systems, is made more difficult with more human-like responses. Vehicles with the FSD system now allow harder acceleration at the exit of these maneuvers.
Tesla also announced that with the new patch, the calculation of the speed of distant vehicles has been improved by 20 percent. The company also states that unnecessary slowdowns on turn and pedestrian roads have been reduced.
Tesla also states that the autonomous system in its vehicles has been improved by 34 percent in animal detection. The company explained that the camera systems provide clearer data for all other obstacles that may be encountered on the roads.
Tesla’s fully autonomous driving system seems to be advanced in every sense. So what do you think about Tesla2’s FSD fully autonomous driving system? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
