A few days ago, we shared with you that the USA warned Tesla on the grounds of security problems. It was decided to recall about 475,000 vehicles on the grounds that the problems in the rear view cameras, trunk and front hood “increase the risk of accident”. Now, Tesla has announced that it will withdraw about 200,000 vehicles for similar reasons.
Investigations from China’s State Administration of Market Regulatory (SAMR) concluded that hood attachment points may cause some problems in some Tesla vehicles. Work has begun on solving the problems noticed in Model S and Model 3 vehicles.
Tesla will withdraw thousands of vehicles again
US electric car manufacturer Tesla announced that problems that could increase the risk of accidents in tens of thousands of vehicles were noticed. The company, which has withdrawn 475 thousand vehicles in the past days, announced that it will withdraw approximately 200 thousand vehicles. China’s State Administration of Market Regulation stated that the detected problems may cause the hoods to suddenly open while driving in vehicles and hinder the viewing angles of the rear cameras. SAMR emphasized that this problem will affect the driver’s vision when reversing and in some cases may create a risk of collision.
Tesla is responsible for any mishap that may arise; decided to confiscate tens of thousands of vehicles on the grounds that they could cause irreversible accidents. In line with the decision made, Tesla was produced between 2015 and 2020; announced that it will collect approximately 180 thousand Model 3 and approximately 20 thousand Model S vehicles whose defects were detected.
The company will provide free service for inspection and resolution of problems in detecting damages on vehicles sold so far.
