Electric car giant Tesla once again came to the fore with a traffic accident. According to the latest incident in China, a Tesla model killed two people and injured three after experiencing a brake failure. Tesla and Chinese officials said they are investigating the incident.
Tesla’s brake exploded, killing two
According to the news in Reuters, a chain traffic accident occurred in China due to the Tesla Model Y. The incident, which was determined to have taken place in Guangdong province in November, occurred after the brake failure of the Model Y. The electric car went out of control, killing a young girl and a motorcyclist.
The Chinese police, which started work to examine the accident, also published the footage of the mobese. According to the Mobese video, the Model Y sped through rather narrow roads and overtaken multiple vehicles. It was seen that Tesla, who hit the motorcycle on the wide road, was able to stop by crashing into the building.
We have witnessed that Tesla model vehicles have caused many accidents recently. While many are linked to Tesla’s FSD (Full Autonomous Driving) technology, the brake crash sparked controversy in China. Tesla officials investigating the incident accused the driver of “not pressing the brakes”.
“The police are currently seeking a third-party assessment agency to uncover the truth behind this accident, and we are actively providing all necessary assistance,” a Tesla spokesperson told Reuters.
Some local Chinese sources stated that the driver had problems with the brakes of the Model Y. It is unclear for now whether the owner of the vehicle took the car to the authorized service. However, this chain accident seems to give Tesla a headache.
