There is a confidential information disclosure crisis between Tesla and a former engineer. According to reports, the electric car giant has sued its former employee who copied secrets about the Project Dojo supercomputer project to his personal devices.
Former employee Alexander Yatskov, accused of theft by Tesla, was a heat engineer hired to work at Project Dojo. After allegedly stealing the supercomputer’s data, Yatskov delivered the wrong laptop to Tesla to hide his theft.
Former engineer stole Tesla’s supercomputer secrets
A new one has been added to the information leaks between giant technology companies and their former employees. According to Bloomberg’s report, Tesla’s former engineer Alexander Yatskov copied the data of the company’s supercomputer called Project Dojo. It turned out that the employee even lied when entering the company.
According to the information in the report, engineer Yatsko was hired in January 2020 to help design the cooling systems of the supercomputer. However, Tesla’s complaint to the US District Court revealed that Yatsko had violated the “non-disclosure agreement” to which he had access.
The electric car giant claimed that the heat engineer lied about his experience during the job application process and failed to complete the tasks assigned to him many times. The report also noted that Yatsko was caught copying supercomputer data onto his personal laptop.
