Despite selling less vehicles than Japanese automotive giant Toyota, Tesla, which earned 8 times more, came to the fore with the involvement of a Model Y in an accident recently. Claims that the vehicle had an accident because its brakes did not work led to questioning whether Tesla’s vehicles were reliable.

Today, Tesla officials recalled more than 300,000 cars to service centers in a statement. The problem is due to the latest update to the tools.

The update broke the car’s taillights

In the statement made by Tesla, it was announced that the software update coming to the 2023 model Tesla Model 3s and the 2020-2023 model Tesla Model Y disrupted the taillights of the vehicle. The randomly flashing tail lights of approximately 321,000 vehicles sometimes do not come on when you apply the brakes, and sometimes they turn on as if you have braked. After the update, Tesla models in some states in the USA caused accidents due to taillights, and the company called all the cars that received the update for service.

It has been announced that the taillights that are broken due to a “Bug” in the update are permanently damaged and that the defective parts will be replaced free of charge with the new software update. Tesla, which has called its vehicles for service 19 times in total throughout 2022, leaves a negative impact on the eyes of its users.

After Tesla’s announcement, some users on Reddit and Twitter rebelled against the company, saying that they were tired of Tesla’s faulty vehicles and updates and that they would sell their cars. Tesla, on the other hand, did not give an explanation as to why the cars were constantly having problems.
