Tesla recalls 1 million vehicles due to window error
Recently, many companies including Mercedes, Ford and Volkswagen have recalled their vehicles. However, one of the most interesting mistakes we’ve seen happened in Tesla, Elon Musk’s car brand. Realizing that the windows were not working properly, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warned Tesla owners.

The recall warnings, which began on September 19, cover vehicles in the United States. Recall by description; Includes 2017-2022 Model 3, 2020-2021 Model Y, 2021-2022 Model S and Model X vehicles. Although Tesla did not share detailed information on the subject, he said that it would fix the problem with a free software update.
According to the problem detailed by NHTSA, the detection sensor is not working properly in the windows of the Tesla models mentioned above. It does not detect a person’s fingers when opening or closing the window. This may cause any object to get stuck in the window opening. NHTSA detailed this as a “critical alert that increases the risk of injury.”
Tesla has been making a lot of recalls lately. Especially the increase in the production of vehicles caused errors in both software and hardware. Previously, about 48 thousand vehicles were recalled due to a bug in the Track Mod feature.
