Tesla is preparing to offer a new generation adaptive long headlight technology with the 2026 model Y juniper model. For those who do not know, this technology automatically closes certain pixels of the headlight light to avoid disturbing the drivers of vehicles. This system, which is already used in vehicles such as Model 3 Highland in Europe, was delayed due to legal regulations in the US. However, Tesla announced that it will activate this feature, primarily in the United States, both in the new model Y juniper and in the old model. Details in our news…
Tesla Model Y juniper will use adaptive long headlight technology
Tesla’s chief engineer Lars Moraavy said that the adaptive headlight system for model Y tools in the US will be opened within a few months. While the new model Y Juniper is being released directly, the old model Y tools will have this feature with a software update.

Tesla will activate the automatic long headlight passage in the first stage. In other words, the drivers will notice that their headlights are automatically reduced when there is a vehicle coming from. Later, Tesla’s pixel -based headlight technology will provide better illumination without disturbing other drivers.

Tesla Model 3 Highland in Europe, such as long -term technology, the US federal motor vehicle safety standards (FMVSS) was delayed due to 108. The headlamp arrangements in the United States require adaptable headlight systems to meet certain photometric density requirements. However, Tesla has managed to overcome these challenging arrangements and is preparing to activate this system in the USA.
Tesla’s new generation model Y juniper model will be available in March 2026. Although the Adaptive Headlight System automatically automated only long headlamps in the first stage, it will offer a better driving experience with advanced pixel -based light control.
