Tesla Model Y received the highest safety score in history in recent tests by the European New Car Assessment Programme. The assessment noted that Tesla Model Y’s autopilot with camera was an important factor in helping it avoid collisions with other cars, pedestrians and cyclists.

The electric SUV achieved an overall success of 92% in Euro NCAP, which is considered the toughest and most recently developed safety test of the evaluation program. The highest score after Tesla Model Y was Lexus NX and Subaru Outback with a safety score of 89%.

Model Y managed to get high scores in four different categories in Euro NCAP’s evaluation.
