Making a revolution in the sector with the electric cars it has launched, Tesla this time became a tool for a special project of a Dutch company. The Netherlands-based hearse company Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit has applied an unprecedented modification to the Tesla Model 3.
As you can imagine; Tesla Model 3 converted into a hearse. The Model 3, which is recognizable only when you look at it from the front, is unlike any Model 3 with its design details. If you are ready, let’s take a look at both the design details of this car and the features it offers.
Here comes the Tesla Model 3 turned into a hearse!
The rear doors and seats of the Tesla Model 3 modified by Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit were removed. Thus, the rear part was completely emptied. Engineers, who prepared a panel compatible with the curve of the windshield and placed this panel on the vehicle, placed very wide glasses on the sides of the panel.
The trunk lid has also been changed so that the coffin can be placed comfortably. Model 3, which was turned into a hearse, now had a full-size tailgate, which we see more in commercial vehicles.
The interior of the vehicle is ultra luxurious. A placed coffin faces a ceiling light equipped in LEDs. Meanwhile; Let’s also mention that a partition was placed between the front part of the vehicle and the part where the coffin was placed. In addition, the curtains in the part of the coffin can be drawn optionally.
There is an interesting detail in the car. New rear doors open in place of the removed rear doors. Items can be placed here.
Meanwhile; Let’s say that the engine part of the vehicle is standard. The vehicle has an electric motor with a power of 225 kW. There is also a 53 kWh battery. These specs reveal that the hearse is the Range Plus version of Model 3. But it has less range than the standard Tesla Model 3 Range Plus. This funeral vehicle can travel between 350-375 kilometers on a full charge. The reason for the low range is the deterioration of the aerodynamics of the vehicle and the extra weights inside.
How much this hearse will sell for is currently unknown…
