According to Bloomberg’s report, Tesla’s factory in China also took a precaution due to this closure decision.
After the government imposed a curfew in crowded cities on March 28, while multinational companies pressured the government to ease restrictions so they could return to production, some companies such as Tesla have also resorted to different solutions. It is reported that Tesla will distribute sleeping bags and mattresses to employees at its Chinese factory, so that employees will be able to sleep at the factory instead of going home. On the other hand, other needs of the employees will be met by the company. In addition to shower, dining and entertainment areas on the floors of the employees, there will also be areas designated for people to sleep. Employees will be given 3 meals a day, while an allowance of $63 (400 yuan) will be given.
Tesla will also implement regulations to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by requiring employees to take a Nucleic Acid Test once a day for the first 3 days, check their temperature twice a day, and wash their hands at least 4 times a day. . It is not clear for now whether this way of working will be adopted by other companies.
