Tesla, which has revolutionized the electric cars it has launched, has now officially entered a new sector. The company made the first delivery of its first fully electric truck, “Semi”, to PepsiCo. The delivery, which took place at the Tesla factory in Texas, was broadcast live on several platforms, including Twitter.
Elon Musk also attended the Tesla Semi’s delivery event. Elon Musk, who took a small tour with one of the trucks in the delivery area, also explained the unknown technical features of Semi. Referring to Semi’s development process, “It’s been a long five years. But Semi will really revolutionize the road.” Using his expressions, Elon Musk was confident. The reason for this statement was that it was previously said that Semi would be delivered in 2019…

In the statements made about the Tesla Semi, it was stated that this truck had 3 electric motors. Two of them are constantly operating at maximum efficiency. But when more power is needed, such as a ramp, the third motor kicks in. Developing a special technology for ramp descents, Tesla will automatically prevent the vehicle from getting out of control. The engines used in this truck can produce 1,020 horsepower and 1,423 Nm of torque. It has already been announced that the range of the vehicle is 800 kilometers.

Elon Musk described the power of the Tesla Semi with remarkable expressions. According to the billionaire businessman, Semi is “an elephant that moves like a cheetah” when used without a trailer. Musk, who also made statements about Tesla’s Semi’s charging network, said that they have developed a new charger. Working with the new generation cooling technology, this charger is much more powerful than the “kilowatt” supported devices on the market and is in the “megawatt” energy flow class. This charger will be available as of next year.
