Tesla Cybertruck, introduced by Elon Musk a few years ago, created great excitement with its interesting appearance. Musk said that this vehicle was a pick-up that would “withstand even the apocalypse.” The reason for this durability was the extra hard stainless steel used. But this steel presents another problem: the panels not fitting properly.
Cybertruck’s troubles are endless
In general, things are not going as planned in Tesla’s Cybertruck production. The launch of the vehicles has been postponed until November 30, and only 10 vehicles will be delivered at the delivery event on that date. In the models examined before delivery, it is noticed that the doors do not seem to fit properly and there are gaps between the panels.
There is currently no statement from Tesla regarding the issue. We can expect a statement from the company depending on the reactions from users when the vehicles hit the roads soon.
Due to the ultra-hard stainless steel used by Tesla, it is quite normal for small gaps to remain between the panels. It is not easy to manipulate this material and shape it into different shapes. Moreover, once shaped, it tries to return to its original state. That’s why such gaps may remain.
In his previous statements, Musk stated that he wanted to launch a quarter million Cybertrucks annually by 2025. In the current situation, it does not seem easy to increase production to that level. Tesla had received more than 2 million reservations for Cybertruck.
