A new experiment has been conducted that addresses Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD, Fully Self-Driving) system. Technology safety engineer Dan O’Dowd has been criticizing Tesla’s autopilot system for a while now. In his final test, he stated that the Tesla Model 3 passed over a child-sized mannequin. That’s why he suggested that autopilot is “the most dangerous software ever”.

Stating that more than 100 thousand Tesla vehicles use FSD on public roads, Dan O’Dowd argued that Elon Musk’s claims are not true. He stated that during the experiment, the autopilot did not see the child-sized dummies and repeatedly passed over them.

Elon Musk claimed that the FSD was not activated during the experiment with the Tesla Model 3. Saying that the experiment was a complete hoax, Tesla CEO stated that all FSD tests were made publicly.

The technology safety engineer, on the other hand, revealed that the experiment he carried out on the race track was carried out with a sworn statement. It’s not possible to know if FSD was turned on during the experiment, but Dan O’Dowd also shared additional footage of the test.

We have seen how the autonomous system reacts in many accident scenarios before. Tesla branded vehicles can often save their drivers from a difficult situation thanks to the systems they have. However, sometimes there are situations where these systems are not sufficient.
