As the leading American automobile company in electric vehicle design, production and sales, Tesla announced its sales and production numbers for the third quarter of 2021, as the year is approaching. Tesla again broke records with its production and delivery numbers in the last three months.

Tesla has been on the rise in sales since the first quarter of 2019. Despite the supply problems in the sector, it advanced in delivery and production and broke its own record. According to the latest figures, 237,823 vehicles were produced and 241,300 vehicles were sold in the last three months. “In the third quarter, we produced approximately 238,000 vehicles and delivered more than 240,000 vehicles. In addition, the authorities thanked their customers for patiently meeting the disruptions caused by the problems in global supply during this process.

The most preferred Tesla models have been announced

Of the 241,300 delivered, 232,025 were Model 3 and Model Ys. These models are Tesla’s mass-market cars and make up a significant portion of its deliveries. The remaining 9,275 vehicles consist of Model S and Model Xs. Deliveries of updated versions of the Model S and Model X vehicles, which were refreshed late last year, are expected to begin in 2022.

As stated in Tesla’s statement, the company faced many challenges that developed beyond its control. Since the beginning of the year, like all automobile manufacturers in the world, it has struggled with the semiconductor chip crisis that has caused the production of many vehicles to be stopped.

We have already mentioned that Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, announced that this crisis will be short-lived. The giant company accelerated its work to solve this problem and invested $ 52 billion in semiconductor chip research / development. Despite the chip crisis that affected all automakers, it managed to increase its production in the third quarter of the year.
