One of the projects that the popular electric car manufacturer Tesla is working on is “Optimus”. Optimus, the company’s humanoid robot, has been in development for a long time and the project is progressing very slowly.
However, a new video shared today reveals that Optimus has made serious progress. The robot, now launched as the second generation, seems to attract attention with its realistic movements and ability to hold very sensitive objects.
Faster, more realistic and more flexible
The latest video shared for Tesla Optimus revealed that the humanoid robot is 30 percent faster. Additionally, this robot now has more humanoid geometry. The clearest indication of this is that Optimus in motion is not “grinning”. Optimus, whose weight has been reduced by 10 kilograms, can fully control his body. On the other hand; Tesla’s humanoid robot now has brand new hands. Moreover, these hands can work delicately enough to carry an egg without breaking it.
Tesla has big plans for Optimus. The company plans to use this humanoid robot in its own factories. Of course, it is not yet clear when this will happen, but Tesla factories starting to work with artificial intelligence-supported humanoid robots will open a new page in the automotive industry.
