Tesla recently launched a Cybertruck-inspired cat bed. We have conveyed the details of the subject in the news that you can access by clicking here. Elon Musk’s electric car company is accused of illegally “copying” the design of the product.

Tesla’s cat bed has a striking resemblance to Taiwanese Hulumao’s already on sale product. But Hulumao’s cat bed has been in production since 2017. It even won a design award. By looking at the photos you can see that the only difference is the writing on the front.

sarcastic thanks to Tesla

Hulumao wrote a somewhat sarcastic open letter to Elon Musk on his Instagram page to express his dismay. The letter reads, “Mr. Elon Musk, even though we don’t know each other, thank you very much for promoting our product with the Tesla logo and selling it in China.”

The Taiwanese company also emphasized that they did not license the design of the product to Tesla and that there was a misunderstanding about this. The dispute over the stolen design has yet to be resolved. It is also unknown how Elon Musk reacted to the issue. A royalty may be paid to Hulumao.
