Terra bought another 5,040 BTC.
Terra’s Luna Foundation Guard (LFG) purchased another 5,040 BTC, which corresponds to approximately $230 million. Thus, the number of Bitcoins owned by the foundation reached 35,767.
The acquisition represents the latest move in the foundation’s recently announced plan to create a Bitcoin reserve for the UST. As we reported earlier, LFG announced a $3 billion Bitcoin reserve plan for Terra’s UST stablecoin. Terraform CEO Do Kwon, who said that the foundation managed to collect the fund to a large extent, stated that its long-term goal is to collect 10 billion dollars.
Bitcoin Hits $44,000
LFG seems to have evaluated the decline in Bitcoin. Bitcoin lost close to 3% today, falling to $ 44,000 in the early hours. Bitcoin, which managed to reclaim $ 45,000, is trading at $ 45,394 as of publication time.
