Get ready for cross-platform tournaments

Tekken Game Director Katsuhiro Harada has announced that Tekken 8 will have crossplay support. With crossplay support, players will be able to organize multiplayer matches with their friends regardless of platforms. Making this statement on Twitter, Harada also explained why this feature is not in Tekken 7.

According to Harada’s statement, at the time of Tekken 7’s release, Microsoft and Sony did not support crossplay games, which made the Tekken team’s job very difficult. Stating that companies make things difficult even when Sony and Microsoft officially allow it, Harada stated that Tekken 8 will not have such a problem. Tekken 8, which will offer magnificent visuals with Unreal Engine 5, will soon be released for PS5, Xbox Series and PC platforms.
