What is iSIM ❓
The iSIM or Integrated SIM functionality that the chipmaker has included in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform makes the line switching process much smoother and faster. Unlike eSIM, it is located in the main processor of the phone. This means that the technology takes up much less space inside the device compared to physical SIM slots or even eSIM.

iSIM submissions will reach 300 million by 2027 and represent 19% of all eSIM sales. Qualcomm’s prediction is in this direction.
Qualcomm did not share information on whether the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor phones, such as the Galaxy S23 series, have iSIM feature. But according to Thales, iSIMs will be made available on high-end smartphones first. It will then be available on mid-range and entry-level smartphones as well as wearables.
