TCL has left two years behind in the production of smartphones under its own brand name. Now, TCL has launched two 30 series phones in the US market as part of CES 2022. The names of these models appeared as TCL 30V and TCL 30XE. Both include support for 5G connectivity. You still have to be on T-Mobile or Verizon to get them, though.
TCL 30V specifications
The letter ‘V’ on TCL’s 30V phone is thought to represent Verizon. This device was released exclusively for Big Red in the US. The smartphone’s weak Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor supports 5G connectivity. The TCL 30V model is available to users with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On the storage side, it also offers the option to expand up to 1 TB with a microSD slot.
The phone comes with Android 11 operating system. It gets its power from a battery with a capacity of 4,500 mAh. To fill this, it comes with an 18W wired charging adapter. However, the wireless charging option is not available on this device.
The device reaches the user with a 6. 67 inch FHD + 2400 × 1080 screen. The screen has a refresh rate of 60Hz. It also uses Gorilla Glass 3, which is quite old, as protection. Right in the middle of the screen is a 16 Megapixel selfie camera that can shoot videos at 1080p/30fps.
The triple camera module welcomes us on the back of the TCL 30V. While the main camera is 50 Megapixels, it is accompanied by 5 Megapixel and 2 Megapixel sensors. It comes with a capacitive fingerprint scanner right next to the camera module.

TCL has yet to reveal when it will be available for purchase and the price. It is expected that an explanation will come from the company on this issue in the coming days.
TCL 30XE features
The TCL 30XE can be purchased via T-Mobile or Metro by T-Mobile. While this device has 5G connection support, mmWave technology is not included. This shows that the device will be released cheaper than the TCL 30V. However, TCL will announce this information in the coming days.
The smartphone comes with a low resolution 1600×720 6. 52 inch screen. The screen has 90Hz support, which is a higher refresh rate than 30V. This is also expected to improve handling. DragonTrail 3 also provides screen protection.
The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. If you need extra space, there is a microSD card slot. It also promises additional storage options up to 512 GB.
When we come to the battery part, we see a 4,500 mAh battery. TCL has yet to share information about how fast a charging option it will have. On the back of the TCL 30XE, a triple-lens camera module stands out. The 13 Megapixel main camera is accompanied by a 2 Megapixel depth sensor and a 2 Megapixel macro camera. There is also a capacitive fingerprint reader here.

The company has not yet revealed the details of its front camera. TCL is expected to share pricing and accessibility information soon.
