One of the trolling attempts that has become increasingly popular in the USA in recent years is a method called Swatting. In this method, those who want to popularize the publishers or those who hate the publishers send various public officials to people’s homes with false reports.
Often, police or SWAT teams are guided by false reports. The last victim of swatting attempts was IShowSpeed, a well-known publisher in our country.
Live raid in his new home
IShowSpeed, who started his broadcasting career on Twitch and continues on YouTube, bought a house for 10 million dollars in the past weeks and moved into this house with his cameraman. IShowSpeed, who continued his broadcasts from his new home, noticed that the SWAT unit raided his house while he was playing Fortnite live. The broadcast was disrupted when the broadcaster left the computer to stop the raid.
While it was obvious that IShowSpeed was shocked by the raid, it continued broadcasting after solving the problem. The teams continued to examine the house and did not find any threatening elements. While the broadcaster asked people to stop the SWAT directives, he said he had guns pointed at his face and could die if something went wrong.
In fact, making such false reports is a crime in the USA, just like in our country and Europe. Still, malicious individuals can cause SWAT raids using various methods. Many names such as IShowSpeed, Adin David Ross, Nico “Senako” are the targets of such initiatives.
