Dune: Awakening, the survival game set in the barren deserts of Arrakis, was announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The new Dune game, which will be developed by Funcom, known for Conan Exiles, will be available for both PC and consoles.

Funcom has announced its ambitious return to the world of MMOs with the production of Dune: Awakening. Role-playing game developed in collaboration with Legendary Entertainment; will combine elements of survival with an online world.
Reminiscent of Conan Exiles, which Funcom announced in 2017, Dune: Awakening will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms. It will also take place in a larger world and include more players on the map.

According to the announcement at Gamescom 2022, players can sign up for beta tests on Dune: Awakenig’s website. Details of the testing period are not yet known, but Funcom said it will offer more in the coming months.
