Previous rumors told us that Google’s foldable phone, Pixel Fold, was canceled before it was announced. However, new evidence indicates that the device is still in development. There are claims that the phone seen in a Geekbench listing last week is the Google Pixel Fold. In fact, some of the rumors are based on information from Google itself.
According to the news of 9to5Google, the new Android 12L Beta 2 version includes animations of a Google branded foldable device. The animations show how to insert the SIM card of the foldable device and are very similar to previous Pixel phone animations.
The Google device seen in the animation is shorter and wider than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3, more like Oppo’s Find N foldable phone.
Of course, it is not possible to say one hundred percent that a foldable Pixel phone will come, based on just one animation. However, the presence of this animation in the latest Android beta suggests that Google is still working on the Google Pixel Fold in some way.
