Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey expressed his surprise at Robinhood’s decision to list the Shiba Inu (SHIB) in a recent tweet. Robinhood CEO responded to Dorsey. Here are the details…

Jack Dorsey comments on Robinhood’s Shiba Inu listing

Robinhood, a leading commission-free trading platform, listed Shiba Inu on Tuesday. On the official Twitter account of the platform, “We have listed SHIB. What comment are you going to write now?” statements were included. Jack Dorsey then replied with a question mark. In response, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev asked when Twitter would introduce an “edit” option. Jack Dorsey has come to the fore with his criticism of meme coins before.

Although generally known for his Bitcoin advocacy, Dorsey is still skeptical of other coins. He doesn’t seem to be thinking positively. In October, the billionaire briefly criticized cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase for promoting the Shiba Inu. Dorsey is known as a staunch Bitcoin maximalist who has repeatedly rejected the idea of adopting altcoins. In fact, its reluctance to explore other cryptocurrencies has led to numerous disputes with the Ethereum community. After Dorsey stepped down as Twitter CEO in November, Twitter has become more altcoin-friendly.

Listing raises the price

As we reported on Kriptokoin.com, the price of Shiba Inu skyrocketed in double digits a few minutes after the news that Robinhood listed it on its platform. American financial services company Robinhood has allowed its clients to transact with Shiba Inu (SHIB), Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC) and Compound (COMP). The additions came last week after the firm rolled out its cryptocurrency wallet to two million users.

According to a recent blog post, Robinhood has added four new crypto assets to its trading platform. These include the popular meme coin – Shiba Inu, the sixth largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization – Solana, Polygon’s MATIC, and Compound’s COMP. Although all the listed cryptos rose after the news, SHIB’s rise rate surpassed them all. In the past 24 hours, SHIB has rallied 36 percent to a two-month high before pulling back slightly.
