The new firmware has version number N960FXXSAFWB3. It brings with it the February 2023 security patch. The update to the five-year-old flagship was first rolled out to users in the UK and Ireland. It will gradually reach devices in other regions.

Support expired

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was launched in August 2018, as you may recall. The official support period ended in 2022. Undoubtedly, it was a pleasant surprise for users that the South Korean company nevertheless made the device more secure by upgrading its firmware.
